Based out of Minneapolis and St. Paul, I’m an International award-winning photographer and professional dog trainer. Some of my photography specialties include: pets, portraiture, high school seniors, Photoshop compositing, fine art, weddings, engagements, food, and landscapes (although I have cut back from most of these). Story-telling is my true passion.
Each time I pick up my camera, I look forward to creating something special. Each client receives my full attention. We’ll work together to create something truly unique. In order to achieve this, I ask a lot of questions and get to know you and your needs.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a BA in Mass Communications: Public Relations with a topical minor in Theatre Management & Event Coordination. Before I graduated, I interned at the Better Business Bureau. At UWEC, I also studied to become a better photographer by taking private lessons.Â
Not only am I a photographer, but I am a professional dog trainer too. When I was about five, I was bitten on the mouth by our family dog because I was young and dumb. Since then, I have made it a priority to learn about dogs and their behaviors. Working with dogs has been a huge part of my personal life. Not to mention, it allows me to have a better understanding of my furry clients. Ask how I can help make your pet’s photo session go smoothly. In my free time I enjoy listening to podcasts/audiobooks, cooking, comedy, and spending time with my dog (obviously).
Most importantly, my logo is based on my family dog, Petey. He passed away in October of 2019, but I continue to honor him. Petey brought me so much joy in life. He was loving, kind, gentle, and the best cuddle buddy a guy could ask for in life. I miss him more than words can describe. Being a professional dog trainer, Petey taught me a lot about dogs and human relationships. His life will always be honored.
Nacho is my dog. Nacho Dog! Get it?! As a professional dog trainer, I wanted to have a smart, high-drive dog I could compete with, and I that is why I got Nacho. He is a great balance of drive and cuteness. His intelligence is only limited by his teenage stubbornness.Â
We currently compete with the National Association of Canine Scent Work (NACSW) and the American Kennel Club (AKC) nose work. Other sports we are slowing getting involved with include dock diving, rally, barn hunt, and bite work.Â
