Based in St. Paul, I’m an internationally award-winning photographer and professional dog trainer. While I’ve explored many photography genres—including portraiture, high school seniors, fine art, weddings, engagements, food, and landscapes—my true focus is pet photography. Storytelling through images is my passion.
Every time I pick up my camera, my goal is to create something meaningful and unique. I take the time to understand you and your pet, asking thoughtful questions to ensure your session reflects your vision. From start to finish, you’ll have my full attention as we work together to capture something truly special.
I’m not just a photographer—I’m also a professional dog trainer. My journey with dogs started at the age of five when I was bitten on the mouth by our family dog. That experience sparked a lifelong commitment to understanding canine behavior.
Working with dogs has been a major part of my personal and professional life, giving me a unique edge when it comes to pet photography. I know how to read their body language, keep them comfortable, and capture their true personality. Whether your dog is high-energy, shy, or somewhere in between, I have the skills to make their photo session stress-free and fun.
Outside of photography and training, I enjoy listening to podcasts and audiobooks, cooking, and comedy—and, of course, spending time with my own dog.

Most importantly, my logo is based on my family dog, Petey. He passed away in October of 2019, but I continue to honor him. Petey brought me so much joy in life. He was loving, kind, gentle, and the best cuddle buddy a guy could ask for in life. I miss him more than words can describe. Being a professional dog trainer, Petey taught me a lot about dogs and human relationships. His life will always be honored. Â
Nacho is my dog—Nacho Dog! Get it?! As a professional dog trainer, I wanted a smart, high-drive dog to train and compete with, and Nacho fits the bill perfectly. He’s the perfect mix of determination and charm, with intelligence that sometimes battles his stubborn streak.

We compete in nose work through the National Association of Canine Scent Work (NACSW) and the American Kennel Club (AKC). We’re also dipping our paws into other sports like dock diving, rally, barn hunt, and protection sports/bite work. Nacho keeps me on my toes, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
